SIR is a risk management and brokerage insurance and re-insurance company, established in Romania since the year 1997 on base of Law 47/1991, regarding the activity of Companies from insurance field. The SIR is controlled by CSA, which is the Rumanian supervisory committee .

People of Sir Brokers takes origin from  the first insurance leader Group, based in Milan (in the Italian market of the insurance brokerage during the years `70 and `80). 

At the beginning The SIR was created in Rumania with the objective to assist, in the market of the east Europe, the great Italian industrial groups, offering them the attendance on western standard. Now the Sir offers its know how to all the international companies in the industrial field
